Our monthly meetings are 6:30 pm social, 7:00 pm announcements and program promptly after announcements on the first Wed. of each month usually at the Butler YMCA, lower level meeting room, 339 N. Washington, St. Butler, Pa.
Each meeting includes outing announcements, a featured speaker and slideshow or outdoor educational program and is open to the public.
Join us on Wed. April 4 when John Stephen will present the Many Communities One Trail program and the tradition of hikers helping others to get outdoors, get healthier, and discover. John Stephen is the Trail Network Development Manager for the Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy and a founder of the Friends of the Riverfront and the Negley Run Watershed Task Force. The program is intended to encourage and support more collaboration between municipalities, the private sector and volunteers to grow an even larger network of hiking trails and outdoor spaces. Ongoing projects in McCandless and Cranberry will provide an example. The presentation will also share how close we are to a 340 mile western Pennsylvania hiking trail circuit that links the culture, history, landscape, and people of our region.
